The Association of Jewish Refugees' Memorials to Jewish Émigrés Fleeing Nazi Persecution

The Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR) is establishing permanent memorials to some of the most prominent Jewish émigrés who fled Nazi persecution and found refuge in Britain, as well as to places and buildings with significant connections to Jewish refugees.

These plaques create a tangible link between the remarkable individuals who once lived or worked in these locations and the communities that surround them today, offering points of interest for both residents and visitors.

The AJR provides social and welfare services to Holocaust refugees and survivors across the UK. Relatives are also welcome as members, including spouses, children (second generation), grandchildren (third generation), and beyond.

You can explore the locations of the plaques on their interactive map: https://ajr.org.uk/ajr-plaque-scheme/
